The modpack

Fixed SMP is the distribution. It combines the four first-party Fixed by Design mods with a curated set of third-party mods, resource packs, shaders and configuration.

Three variants are published for every release: server, client and full. The full pack is what the Modrinth page offers by default.

A fifth first-party project, Bare Bones x Enchantment Overhaul, is a resource pack adding Bare Bones textures for everything Enchantment Overhaul introduces. Art by LolloNapo.

Standing on other people's work

Two projects are not bundled here but are part of why the pack looks the way it does.

Aileron by ryanhcode and Violunae, and Eleron by sindercube, are elytra overhauls licensed LGPL-3.0-only. Exploration Reloaded's campfire flight is a port of their design and, in places, their code. Exploration Reloaded is LGPL-3.0-only specifically so it can carry that. Both are excellent on their own and worth installing outside this pack.

Fixed Minecraft by green_jab is the MIT-licensed project several exploration systems were originally derived from, used with permission.

Resource packs and shaders

Resource packs. Bare Bones x Enchantment Overhaul, Bare Bones X PvP Pack, Fresh Animations, New Glowing Ores Border, OreUI Recreation, Translations for Sodium, Vocal Villagers, and a bundled Low Fire pack that lowers the first-person fire overlay.

Shaders. Complementary Reimagined and Complementary Unbound. Unbound is preselected but shaders are off by default, so a fresh install is not GPU-bound.

What the pack configures

Beyond bundling, the pack ships configuration that changes how things feel.

Horses get step-up, smoother ledges, hitching, a summoning horn, full mining speed while mounted and a mounted HUD, through Horseman.

Information is exposed through Jade in toggle mode, covering harvest tools, crop progress, mob breeding, horse stats, storage previews and enchantment power, with display entities and barriers hidden so builds stay clean.

Audio uses full occlusion and reverb, with proximity voice chat at 48 blocks and a raised simultaneous-sound cap so dense bases do not drop audio.

Input allows walking with any GUI open, including the Catalogue and the Map Book.

The pack ships localised to French with English fallback.
